The Occasional Mid-week Molly

Though originally said about her home state, it applies equally to South Dakota:

• It's a low-tax, low-service state--so shoot us. The only depressing part is that, unlike Mississippi, we can afford to do better. We just don't. -- Molly Ivins

Wanna guess the most popular tool ??

Memories Div

Years ago (I'm sayin' 60's) when I was busy standing on a stage behind a Martin guitar and flunking out of Arizona State University; I used to occasionally appear and socialize with a guy who played bass and classical guitar who used to routinely do Oscar Brown, Jr's The Snake as part of his sets. He always got a good deal of applause (and attention afterwards) due to his presence and presentation. Rumor has it that one or two ladies ended their lives after receiving his attention and subsequent rejection, but that was just a rumor.....
Appears that Preznit Comb-over has made it part of his repertoire.

I guess donald of orange has finally admitted that he's one of the "reptile people," eh ? I knew it, Did you ?

The Occasional Mid-Week Molly

"I am not anti-gun.
I'm pro-knife. Consider the merits of the knife. In the first place, you have to catch up with someone in order to stab him. A general substitution of knives for guns would promote physical fitness. We'd turn into a whole nation of great runners. Plus, knives don't ricochet. And people are seldom killed while cleaning their knives."

Geography Div (where from subsection)

Today is that thunk up holiday, President's Day. When I was a kid (oh, so long ago), we looked forward to the month of February and two days off from school: Lincoln's birthday (12th) and Washington's (22nd) - now those were REAL presidents.
Today we have what I call "Lincington's Washday" and a clown posing as president. Oh well.......
