Seems like Kim Il Don got everyone together there in NYC and agreed to answer questions.
Of course he started off by saying he wasn't really there to answer any questions and followed up with repeated, unsubstantiated superlatives and glowing testimony on how smart, rich and powerful he was ...... the press ate it up.
I watched what I could and then turned off the teevee in disgust. I didn't hear any answers.

I'm sure "Beltway Blonde" will be out there later today telling us what he really meant.

What I did hear was that he thinks he's exempt from civilized behavior, will turn his bidness over to his sons Uday and Qusay (oops, must have been thinking of someone else who figured he was above the law) Eric and Don and never talk to them again  (I'm not really sure how that part will work).

It seems to me that since his name IS the bidness, maybe he should just change it. There have been several good suggestions (scroll down for the A-Z listing). That oughta do it, eh ? Problem solved.

Slogans ......... div

Seems that the Republicans are really struggling to fix up their image. Many writers, including the WaPo's Dana Milbank have spotted the the obvious  - - - the stuff in the package is the same, but clever marketing and a new ribbon will make the sales continue and hopefully, rise.
Obviously, in light of the Republican policies of cutting services, reducing Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security and cutting taxes on everyone (even those without income (WOOHOO!!)  someone really screwed up Mr Cantor's sign for his speech at the American Enterprise Institute:

Has anyone ever really stopped to figure out exactly what it means ???
Each of the words by itself makes sense**  - -  string 'em together .......  Nonsense.

Why is it that every time the unsupervised Mittens opens his mouth without his talking points teleprompter he screws the pooch?
If the Republicans can't trust him, can normal people ??
.... and have you seen or heard his slogan "Restore Our Future" ?? Think about it, how do you restore something that hasn't yet happened ??
Since the avowed platform of the Republican party is to take us back to 1929 (or possibly 1890) does this mean that if they get their Mitts on the government we'll get the New Deal ???

Sloganeering div.

Well, the papers and the tee-vee are full of the R's out there in the cornfields making their appeal as the ultimate "shiny thing" for a minuscule number of potential voters (for an obscene amount  of money).
This morning's Washington Post talked about all the research goin' on to use the President's words against him. Oh well, probably the same ole tired out of context shit that's been going on for three years and, (no doubt) references to "Obamacare."

Next time one of those people makes that reference, simply interpret it as a question and reply, " Yes, President Obama DOES care,  ........................................... (now fill in the blank - use "Prudential", "Aetna", "Romney," "Republicans", etc - as you see fit; I'm sure there is no end to the examples you can use) doesn't"
Time to make folks aware of what's in their interest, eh ??
