Here's how one of the folks holding our country back tries to do the right thing. No wonder we're in the condition we are.

Racism Div (sadly subsection)

Here in South Dakota, we don't have an overabundance of black people. Our people of color are predominately the Native Americans from which we went out of our way to get rid of in so many continuing ways.
Mrs Bear recently received this from a long-time acquaintance:

Sociology 101

A young black kid asks his mother, "Mama, what is Socialism and what is Racism?"

"Well, Child… Socialism is when the white folks work every day so we can get all our governmental entitlement stuff for free.

You know… like our free cell phones for each family member, rent subsidy, food stamps, EBT, WIC, free school breakfast, lunch, and in
some places supper, free healthcare, utility subsidy, and on and on… you know, that's Socialism."

"But, Mama, don't the white people get pi--ed off about that?"

"Sure they do, Honey. That's called Racism."

(Never was it more simply explained.)

My wife (and I, when informed) was shocked, hurt and disgusted.
Her reply to the sender:

                          I am appalled that you sent me this horrid, racist story.

                           Surely you do not condone such hateful nonsense. 

                           It is clearly something espoused by white supremacists,

                           by the Ku Klux Klan

                           Seriously, do you really believe that “white folks” work to support 

                           programs for “black folk”.

                           Surely there is nothing Christian in what you have emailed:

                            it only fuels hatred and racism. 

                            I am sick at heart that a friend of mine would propagate such hateful rhetoric.

                            Please remove my name from your list of “forwards”.

I don't know what else I can say about this blatant, racist piece of shit (I won't deign to give the sender that much dignity), We've known the sender for years and have always valued her friendship despite her politics.You can probably  imagine what she thinks of the thug occupying the the Article II office and which political party she supports.

Needless to say, she's no longer welcome in our home.

We have a problem here in South Dakota ...... and it ain't Meth (even though "We're on it").

Well, the press is running amok with the news of Lyin' Sean Spicer's departure amidst all the intrigue within the Cirque de Trumpie.

The preznit in chief is currently flailing around demeaning his chosen Attorney General, grand wizard Jeff Sessions for adhering to the law and recusing himself from any investigation of the orange wonder's campaign as an agent of the Russian government. Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post writes that he really doesn't deserve any sympathy I have to concur. If Gentleman Jeff is looking for sympathy, he can find it in the dictionary between "Shit" and "Syphllis" as far as I'm concerned.

Prez donnie sez that if Jeffie was going to recuse himself then he never would have been appointed. Get a grip don Donald, if he hadn't been appointed, he wouldn't of lied about his contacts with the Russians and would never of had to recuse himself. He'd still be in the Senate doing his damage there. Instead, he's in the DOJ wreaking havoc on all the progress we've made in the past eight years in civil rights, criminal justice, voting rights, equal opportunity and you name it. Here we go, back to the eighties -- the eighteen eighties !!

Seems strange that everyone touched by the orange menace develops the stink of corruption.

*** Update: Seems that Mr Jeff did more than what he told the Senate while working on the campaign to get Mr Stoopid elected by/for Russia.
Could it be that now we have a  sitting Attorney General who is one of the objects of the investigation by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller ??

Our Evolving Gummit Div (Medicaid subsection)

Kim Il Don's new head administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Seema Verma (now don't that sound like a preexisting condition) and her boss, inside trader and Secretary of Health and Human (!) Services Tom Price, have given orders to the states on how to run their Medicare programs.

I'm not sure if the plan included the messaging and labeling of the enrollment/processing offices.

Ya just gotta love these lizard people, eh ?

Adam Sandler long ago (1995,  Billy Madison )gave a pretty good synopsis of the event:

Now that Kim Il Don's "cabinet" of looters, grifters and thieves is (or almost is) approved by our wonderfully compliant US Senate, you might want to consider:

One function of the income gap is that the people at the top of the heap have a hard time even seeing those at the bottom. They practically need a telescope. The pharaohs of ancient Egypt probably didn't waste a lot of time thinking about the people who built their pyramids, either. OK, so it's not that bad yet -- but it's getting that bad.

HAPPY NEW YEAR Div (and a little old news subsection)

Well, here it is 2017. Hope everyone had a nice celebration. Mrs Bear and I went to bed early while the mini-bears partied.

Now we get to face the coming of the imperial presnitcy of Kim Il Don and his band of not-so merry men.

To give us a preview of what's to come, it seems that Kim don't like folks who've said anything "bad" 'bout him (even over 20 years ago) to play golf at a club where he's playing. Hell, 'pears he even pissed off one of the Koch brothers.

Get used to it folks. We've only got 19 more days of governmental sanity to look forward to.

Seems that "Noun + Verb + Nine-Eleven" has slipped a notch or two in consideration as Donald of Orange's gift to the foreign policy establishment. Not much experience and too much baggage.
