Today back in 1888 Richard Wetherill and his Brother-in-Law discovered the largest of the cliff dwellings in what is now Mesa Verde National Park in Colorado.
Wetherill also discovered the ruins in Navajo National Monument in Arizona as well as the Chaco Canyon site in New Mexico.
