CELEBRATION DIV !! (Really Good News subsection)

Today, my Radiation Oncologist released me from further visits. In February, my Medical Oncologist said he didn't want to see me any longer (in a nice way; "If I see you at the mall or a restaurant, that's ok, just don't come back here.").

I've posted this guy before, but I really feel like after over seven years, a great weight has been lifted.

                      WOO HOO !!!!

Tourism Div (Road Trip Subsection)

Well, the old Bear has departed his den near the GWTP and the Bearwagon is headed west across fly-over America to a reunion with some of the folks he flew with in his younger days. Then, on even further west to see old friends and then south to check up on Mama Bear in Arizona. After that, who knows ??

I am ably assisted by my trusty traveling companion and navigator, Schwartz (first name Fao). He doesn't say much, but then again he doesn't offer unwanted, snarky comments. His presence in the right seat is comforting though. He's 20 years old (haven't the faintest what that is in bear years) and this will be his third road trip. He's looking forward to passing through states he hasn't yet visited and seeing things new to him. (He was quite excited on the last trip with crossing the Continental Divide - both of them, seeing a train and visiting  his first National Park).  He's hoping to see an actual bear and tall mountains this time.
He felt the addition of an old AP-26 dead reckoning computer and a hat that says "NAVIGATOR" lends credibility to his presence and position.

Bluegrass is ready for Saturday Nites and there are (and will be) maps and other interesting stuff as the road dictates.
