A Little Saturday Nite Bluegrass Div (Far Eastern subsection)

OOPS ..... GUESS I NEED TO BEAT A MINI-BEAR OR TWO !!! prop...

I've been a bit pressed in getting ahead on music (and haven't picked up the banjo in two months) so thought I'd default to one of my favorites Whiskey Before Breakfast performed here by the Japanese Bluegrass Band. (this is a repeat from about three years ago - sorry)

Well, here's the names (except for the fiddle player) :Masuo Sasabe / guitar,
Katsu Miyazaki / mandolin, Satoshi Yoshida / banjo, Tatsuya Imai / bass

Geography Div ("does anybody really know what time it is" subsection)

Every year, there's that huge (well, maybe not that huge) discussion about getting rid of "Daylight Savings Time" - I still think we get the same amount  and can't figure out what we're saving it fo - can we use it tomorrow? will it accrue interest?
Anyway, a recent Washington Post and fish wrapper had an interesting article on the elimination of time zones altogether. I guess we'd then have to ask if everyone in the world would have to advance or retard their Mickey and replace their smoke alarm batteries, eh?

A Little Saturday Nite Bluegrass Div

Feels strange to get back to posting since everything was "pre-canned" while in South America.
Anyway, on the drive home from Denver, Judy let me listen to some Bluegrass music on the XM and she enjoyed this one - -  Dry My Tears and Move On by the Del McCoury Band.

Del McCoury - Guitar and lead vocal, Ronnie McCoury - Mandolin, Robbie McCoury - Banjo, Andy Bartram - Bass and Jason Carter - Fiddle

A Little Saturday Nite Bluegrass Div (Sorta - - subsection)

What would Bluegrass be without the fiddle ?? Over the years I've grown to love the instrument more and more. Here's one of my favorite reels: St Anne's Reel. (and it does have a couple of -mostly- Bluegrass musicians, eh?)

Aly Bain - Fiddle, Jerry Douglas - Dobro, Russ Barenberg - Guitar and Todd Parks - Bass

Geography Div (Incan History subsection)

Yesterday, we disembarked our ship and flew to Cuzco. This morning we'll be heading for Machu Picchu, another one of those "would like to do" things.
Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and there will be a nice picture or two.
