A Little Saturday Nite Bluegrass Div

A 2013 performance of Steve Goodman's City of New Orleans by the Seldom Scene.
It's still hard to picture this group without John Duffy on the mandolin and Mike Aldridge on Dobro.

Dudley Connell - Guitar, Ben Eldridge - Banjo, Lou Reid - Mandolin, Ronnie Simpkins - Bass and Fred Travers - Dobro.

  1. I've never felt comfortable hearing Dudley's vocals with the Seldom Scene. It's just weird. He needs to be singing with the Johnson Mtn. Boys. That's another band I miss tremendously.

    1. Yep ……. on both counts. And although Fred Travers is a wonderful Dobro player, Mike Auldridge's style and smoker's voice added a lot.
